Reiki for Relief of Stress & Anxiety

Stress is a normal part of everyday life but when prolonged, it may have negative effects on our health. This year has been particularly stressful for many with the lockdown bringing unexpected changes in routine and additional family pressures. Working long hours, caring for family and loved ones, feeling isolated in lockdown, coping with financial issues or dealing with health issues may all have contributed to higher levels of stress in our lives. This build-up of stress eventually creates imbalances in our physical, emotional and mental health.

Our stress can be handled in different ways. At times, we can choose to eliminate a stressful situation or instead remove ourselves from stressful surroundings. Unfortunately, it’s not always that simple. Managing stress can also be made easier through regular exercise, taking time out to do something fun, or through the use of alternative therapies like Reiki.


This year, as I’ve embarked on my journey into therapy and Reiki practice, I have found immense benefit in the use of Reiki as a means to relieve stress, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of well-being in my life. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Reiki, it’s an ancient Japanese technique that uses a non-invasive, energy-based approach to relaxation and healing. It uses powerful and intelligent universal energy and is designed to stimulate the body’s natural ability to heal itself on all levels—physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Using a variety of hand positions on or just above the body, Reiki works to increase energy levels in the body, restoring balance, health and well-being. In addition to its calming effects, Reiki also helps in reducing the symptoms of anxiety, digestive disorders, insomnia and chronic stress.

For £50, you will receive a 30 minute initial consultation and 3 x 30 minute Reiki sessions that can be used any time within a 3 month period. Sessions can be carried out in-person at our studios (County Antrim or South Wales), in your own home or via distance healing.
